Therapeutic Yoga

Working 1x1 with Lucy is the most productive way to get lasting results. This is a commitment, and you’ll get personalized practices you can learn together and practice yourself in between sessions.

All private sessions are treated with confidentiality and respect.

We can meet in a zoom session (can be recorded with your permission for 7 day replay) or we can meet in person. If we meet in person it will take place at Northern Arizona Yoga Center.

  • Asana is what most people think of when they think of modern yoga. This is the physical posture practice- warriors and downward dogs. It’s also gentle movement, so don’t let this scare you! No one is expected to be able to twist into a pretzel, just come as you are.

You receive a professional copy of the sequence we do, so you don’t have to commit it to memory. This provides a great template for your self practice in between sessions together.

  • Yoga Nidra translates to “sleep yoga”. It doesn’t mean the sleep we do at the end of the day, but a deep body resting. You might be surprised how deeply and quickly you drop in. Nidra is a very deep and accessible form of meditation, and facilitates healing, both emotional and physical very quickly.

You will receive a recording of the nidra we do, so you can listen to it when you feel like you need a refresh.

  • Svadhyaya means a study of oneself. All healing and positive change comes from understanding. We dive into this in part with journaling techniques. Habits and choices become clearer when things are written out, and when things are clear, a different path forward is much easier.

After our first session, you will receive a copy of Lucy’s “Svadhyaya Workbook” with personalized pages just for you. It’s a mini journal to begin or deepen the study of yourself.
